A hotel and spa near Warminster has been shortlisted in a national awards for the best hotels in the country. Bishopstrow House Hotel and Spa has been shortlisted in the Most Excellent Spa category in the Conde Nast Johansens 2010 Awards for Excellence.
The west Wiltshire hotel will compete against the Sofitel St James in London and Seaham Hall Hotel & Serenity Spa in County Durham in the finals in Knightsbridge, London, on November 9.
Jason Thorley, general manager of Bishopstrow House, said:
“It goes without saying that we are absolutely delighted with the nomination, which is significant for Bishopstrow House. We have recently undergone an extensive refurbishment, which started last November and is almost complete.”
The Halcyon Spa at the hotel now has four treatment rooms, one of which is a double, a mud rasu, a thermal room area, new reception entrance and a relaxation area.
The hotel also has its own hair salon, indoor and outdoor heated swimming pools, indoor and outdoor tennis courts and a fitness suite and membership is open to both guests and non-guests.
