The Westin Denarau Island Resort & Spa Honoured With Three Awards at 2009 World Travel Awards

The Westin Denarau Island Resort & Spa has been honoured with three awards at the 16th Annual World Travel Awards for Australasia held in London, England on 7th November 2009.   Awarded ‘Australasia’s Leading Golf Resort’, ‘Fiji’s Leading Golf Resort’ and ‘Fiji’s Leading Spa Resort’, the resort took honours among a list of impressive competitors for the 2009 awards.

spaThe World Travel Awards are the most comprehensive and prestigious in the global travel industry and this year the poll was the highest in the awards’ 16-year history as over 170,000 travel industry professionals casted their votes for what they consider to be the very best travel, tourism and hospitality products and services.

On the announcement of the award, Mr. Shane Cunning, Managing Director for the Westin and Sheraton Resorts, Fiji said,
