The “European Health & Spa Awards” were presented for the first time during the Spa Event 2009 conference. This award is the most prestigious of the industry. Spas, treatments and products are rigorously tested by a two tier jury process, following demanding 7 point criteria. Awards were given out in a total of 10 different categories, and the Auriga Spa at the Schloss Velden, a Capella hotel, was crowned “Best Destination Spa” in Europe.

Slew of Awards for the Auriga Spa
The “European Health & Spa Award” is further proof of the superior quality of the 3500 square meter wellness – oasis in the Schloss Velden. Auriga spa was named “Best Spa in Austria” by Gault – Millau in 2007. In addition, it received international attention when Condé Nast Traveler in 2008 included Auriga spain its 12th annual “Hot” list.
