This spa section will provide in-depth coverage of wellness experiences, destinations, resorts, products and treatments in the global spa marketplace.
SpaFinder’s Global Spa Directory has been published continuously since 1987, and The New York Times called its inception “a milestone in the history of spas.” According to Pete Ellis, CEO of SpaFinder, Inc., “After producing our
directory for more than 20 years, we’re very excited to take it to the next level by partnering with the clear leader in beauty and luxury publishing. Sandow Media has proven expertise in building strong brands and innovative distribution models. Combined with SpaFinder’s strong online media presence, this alliance creates a market-leading platform.”
Adam I. Sandow, CEO of Sandow Media, noted,
“SpaFinder is the most powerful voice in the spa community – and has built an online powerhouse connecting millions of spa, wellness and beauty enthusiasts with thousands of spas around the globe. It’s a perfect fit for New Beauty Magazine’s readers and advertisers.”
SpaFinder and NewBeauty will collaborate to increase distribution of NewBeauty Magazine, using the powerful SpaFinder brand to expand a network of global spa partners who will not only advertise with the magazine, but will also serve as key retail locations to single-copy sales of the $9.95 publication.
Ellis noted that the spa industry has become a $255 billion global market impacting economic sectors from beauty and travel to health and wellness.
“This new relationship will transform how spas communicate with consumers and will bring new meaning to the phrase ‘cutting-edge marketing and public relations.’”
According to principals at Sandow Media and SpaFinder, the strategic partnership will allow both companies to streamline aggressive expansion plans and offer innovative marketing programs to spa and beauty partners. Under the terms of the agreement, the companies will also work together to cross-promote other leading products, including SpaFinder’s industry-leading Gift Certificate and Gift Card programs, SpaFinder.com and SpaFinder “Deal Days,” and Sandow Media’s portfolio of high-end consumer magazines including NewBeauty, LUXE, Watch Journal and Worth.
