For too long the well-heeled women of Mafikeng have been longing to be pampered. Now their dreams have come true as the Mmabatho Palms Hotel and Casino Convention Resort opened the elegant Palms Retreat Wellness Spa.
Thobile Sithole, the hotel’s marketing manager, decribes the facility as “upmarket”.
“This state-of-the-art facility owes its uniqueness in the North West to its seven rooms. We believe this makes us the biggest spa in the province,” she said.
Sithole said the hotel set up the facility in response to an overwhelming demand from locals, as well as travellers.
“This is by popular demand by people visiting Mafikeng, especially golfers.
“It adds value to the development of new relationships with our clients as we strive to become trendsetters. We have received good feedback from them.”
She said the public was invited to make bookings at the spa and enjoy world-class service on their doorstep.
“The spa takes care of all wellness needs and provides a number of skin treatments.
“Apart from these specialised services we also offer a wide range of massages, enough for everybody to choose from.”
The spa adds class to ongoing changes at the Mmabatho Palms, after the redesign of the bedrooms, upgraded casino and convention facilities, a modern pool terrace and deck and divine dining venues.
The theme of beauty and health is completed through the well-stocked beauty centre, which offers a variety of luxurious treatment options like facials, anti-ageing treatments, body treatments for slimming, firming, energising and exfoliating, hand and feet therapy, grooming for both men and women, access to an infrared sauna and a sun bed.
“We are here dining in style and enjoying an excellent service at the hotel. This is a profound total package experience and I wish everybody in town would pay this facility a visit, to break the monotony of their leisure time,” said Mamaki Phoolo from North West Parks and Tourism Board.
After this development, Mafikeng will not look the same.
