Only eight months into its operations in Fiji, InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort & Spa has already scooped awards that rank it among the top hotels for romance and relaxation in the world.
TripAdvisor’s 2010 Travellers’ Choice award that honours the world’s best hotels chosen by travellers given their personal experience ranked InterContinental Fiji at fifth place for Best Hotel for Romance and second for the Best Hotel for Relaxation.
The international destination resort on Natadola Beach, InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort & Spa opened in mid-2009.
“Within only eight months of opening, we’ve received worldwide recognition from the people we value most, the travelling community,” said InterContinental Fiji general manager Neil Houghton.
“Our resort has clearly captured the world’s imagination, and it’s a wonderful feeling to be considered by our guests and our peers as not only one of the South Pacific’s best hotels for romance, but also one of the region’s best places for relaxation,”
Mr Houghton said.
InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort & Spa overlooks the azure waters of Natadola Beach, which was voted by Forbes Magazine in 2008 as one of the 25 best beaches in the world.
Unlike any other hotel awards programs, TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice winners are based on the millions of real and unbiased reviews and opinions about hotels on tripadvisor.com and content from across the web.
“Inspired by the millions of trusted traveller reviews and opinions on TripAdvisor.com, the Travellers’ Choice awards have once again highlighted the finest hotels in the world,” TripAdvisor’s chief marketing officer Christine Petersen said.
“From remarkable bargains to the trendiest hotels, travellers worldwide recognised more than 700 hotels for their outstanding service, value and quality,” she said.
