The Omphoy Ocean Resort’s just-opened exhale spa is the first Florida outpost of the fitness, beauty and health company founded in 2003 in New York City.
Exhale also has locations in California, Texas, Illinois, Massachusetts and Turks and Caicos in the Caribbean.
“The developer invited us to be part of The Omphoy, and because so many of our clients in the New York area have homes in Palm Beach, it seemed like a natural place for us to open,” said Elisabeth Halfpapp, one of exhale’s founders who is the executive vice president of mind body programming.
The 2,500-square-foot spa, with a staff of five instructors, will offer one-hour group and private Core Fusion classes, which Halfpapp explains combines elements of Pilates, yoga, Lotte Berk ballet-bar resistance training and some aerobic exercises, intended to produce longer, leaner musculature. The program was developed by Halfpapp and her husband, Fred DeVito, also an executive vice president of exhale.
Massage therapy, beauty treatments, acupuncture and nutrition consultations are also offered on the spa menu.
Planned retreats are being introduced at the Palm Beach location, which opens onto a meditation garden, also a new element for an exhale spa, Halfpapp said.
The exhale programs are available to guests and to area residents, she said.
