The island’s first health farm has opened its doors in Paphos, Cyprus.
You can’t help but relax as you approach the recently opened Akamas Health Farm and Spa Resort in Paphos. Set in outskirts of Drouseia village, this resort has been carefully designed and built to blend in with the landscape, an area of outstanding natural beauty.
The use of local materials, including stone, ensures a traditional Cypriot ambience. The resort has stunning panoramic views of the area all the way down to the sea.
Just a short drive from Latchi, the stylish suites and luxury villas all have amazing views stretching from Pomos to the Baths of Aphrodite.
“The resort is brand new and the concept of the resort is to redefine what luxury holidays are all about. Sometimes people go to hotels and leave more tired than when they arrived. The emphasis here is on total relaxation,” said resort manager Nikolas Neofytou.
He added, “We are the first of a kind and the first health farm in Cyprus. The mentality of the resort is to ensure all of our guests experience complete peace and calm.”
All of the resort’s 97 rooms and five four-bed luxury villas have been finished to an exceptionally high standard, with every facility available to the guest.
“People staying here don’t need to look anywhere else as everything they could possibly want is supplied for them,” said Neofytou.
The Panorama restaurant offers all meals and tailor made dishes can be pre ordered with the chef able to cater to any dietary requirements. “We source all of our products locally and only use the freshest and highest quality,” Neofytou said.
As well as the stunning main pool and shaded terrace area there is an indoor pool complete with aqua bikes used for muscular problems, and a kids pool which is set away from the main pool to ensure guests won’t be disturbed.
A gym, beach volley, tennis courts, and a fitness and well being programme including aerobics, yoga, meditation and tai chi are also available.
“The spa has a winter pool, a Sorai bath which uses as combination of a mud bath and steam, a flotation room, a spa dream room and other treatment rooms and facilities,” added fitness instructor Yiota Beloudi.
The philosophy behind the spa is to ensure guests detoxify their mind and body. Each guest is assessed on arrival and the team will then work with them to establish a personal programme.
Neofytou pointed out that members of the public are welcome to use the swimming pool and restaurant facilities without having to stay at the resort. Gym membership and spa treatments are also available.
