Balearic Discovery Celebrates Six Years With New Spa Section

2010 will see Mallorca based, tailor-made travel specialist, Balearic Discovery celebrate six years of creating bespoke trips for the discerning traveller seeking a unique travel experience in Mallorca.

turkishLaunched in 2004 the independent travel company aims to offer visitors to the island an opportunity to discover more about the culture, activity and beauty of Mallorca, as well as enjoy a relaxing and stress free break away.

To celebrate Balearic Discovery is adding a new spa selection to the existing personally selected hotel portfolio. Focused on those looking for unique spa experiences the new section will have offers unique to Balearic Discovery clients including discounts on treatments, complimentary drinks, accommodation deals and specific breaks tailored to suit the clients need. The spa products are aimed at travellers who wish to get away from it all for a day, those looking for a long weekend, or perhaps people seeking a longer wellness break. Spas appearing in the collection will include Reads Hotel and Spa, Hilton Sa Torre, the Hospes Maricel and the St Regis Mardavall. The spa services will be launched in 2010 and will also include offers enabling clients to be pampered by the pool in the comfort of their own villa. With winter trips beginning at just 600 Euros for a couple for a weekend at Reads the spa breaks will also offer good value.

mrBalearic Discovery initially offered ground arrangements solely to UK based private individuals and direct clients who contacted them through the website. Clients now travel from Australia, the USA and South Africa to enjoy the customised trips.  The company has developed its range of services and along with servicing direct clients, also offers MICE arrangements, support to private travel arrangers requiring reliable inbound services, and collaborates with large international tour operators who utilise their services as a DMC.

With a focus purely on Mallorca the portfolio now includes over 100 hotels, hundreds of villas from two to twelve bedroom, monasteries and a fabulous array of services including private chefs, nannies, physiotherapists, beauticians, and chauffeurs as well as a long list of activities to keep both adults and children amused. These include sailing, diving, kite-surfing, walking, cycling, horse – riding, yoga, wine tasting, cookery classes. “If it is safe and legal we are sure we can arrange it” states Jane Stanbury, founder and director. “We’re proud of the business we’ve built over the last five years, we really are unique on the island in offering the range of services that we have and our strong local knowledge means we can ensure clients have the best stress free experience possible. The fact we’ve had our best year yet in difficult economic times demonstrates we are providing a service clients genuinely appreciate” she added.

The new spa selection will be available from the beginning of 2010.
