Alderbrook Resort & Spa Deals Make Luxury Getaways Accessible

In these lean economic times, it’s hard to justify a luxury vacation with beautiful waterfront accommodations, spa services, excellent food, a heated pool with jacuzzi and sauna, a well-appointed gym and kayak and boat rentals. And it would be practically crazy to think that you could relax in a place like this while towing along the kids  — and the dog (!) — too.

adWell, Alderbrook Resort & Spa on Hood Canal has been making it hard to justify not taking them up on the amazing deals they’ve been offering lately. In less than two hours from Seattle, you can have everything described above for prices that are truly a steal for this kind of experience.

Their current “Spring Break Special” promotion includes rooms starting at $119 (regularly $159) for stays between March 26 through April 11, 2010. The rate includes 20 percent off spa services, restaurant meals, gift shop purchases and kayak rentals. And, if you’re staying mid-week you can have a late check-out of 2 p.m. For availability, call reservations at 360-898-2145 or check Alderbrookresort.com. (Click on the “Book Now” link. Select desired dates.  Type “Spring” into the Corporate Code field. Click Search for availability.)

This is not the first time they’ve been running this kind of killer deal. My husband and I took them up on a similar offer alderlast December for a romantic, and much-needed holiday-season sanity break without the kids.  Then, when snowstorms canceled our mid-winter break plans for a hectic trip back to the Southeast, we packed up the kids and the dog and took advantage of Alderbrook’s February “Sweetheart” deal of about $150/night for their two-bedroom cabins with kitchens (in winter, the cabins normally run about $279; at the height of summer, they’re listed at a whopping $679).

I can attest that the spa services are divine — on my first trip I indulged in a lovely pampering facial, and on my second visit, I melted into a 90-minute deep tissue massage; both services rivaled the best that you would get at any high-end spa in Seattle.

Alderbrook is definitely doing something right, here. After my two visits, I was so enamored of the place I found myself wishing I had hosted my wedding here. If you haven’t been before, this is a great opportunity to check it out.

If you can’t make it for this deal, go to their Web site to sign up for their newsletter to stay informed of other upcoming deals. According to their PR rep, the resort offers deals throughout the year to keep the interest high and the buzz going. Apparently, it works.
